THE ARKANSAS SCHOOLS TOUR
Larry D. Alexander started the “Arkansas Tour” in May of 1996 as a way to give back to his home state and be a blessing to the children of Arkansas. These annual visits to colleges, high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools, are intended to instruct and encourage children in pursuing their careers in the visual arts and to stay away from drugs. He has visited dozens of schools and talked to thousands of students over the past ten years in many Arkansas towns and cities. His tour traditionally ends with a two-day art exhibit and print signing at the Dermott, Arkansas Crawfish Festival. Below is a look at some of Alexander’s favorite school stops over the years.
